Men’s Golf Can’t Move Up, Finishes 12th at Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo.- Oral Roberts’ men’s golf team fired a final round 305 to finish 12th at the Mizzou Intercollegiate, Tuesday at The Club at Old Hawthorne.

The Golden Eagles finished play at 910 (299-306-305) in the 15-team event. Nebraska (857) defeated Kansas State on the fourth playoff hole to win the team championship. Kansas State’s Curtis Yonke and Nebraska’s Brandon Krick (211) shared individual medalist honors.

Freshman Jake Spencer (Anthony, N.M.) led the Golden Eagles, finishing tied for 20th at 221 (75-72-74). Bryan Boaz (Tulsa, Okla.) tied for 46th after a 79 left him at 228 (71-78-79).

Kyle Spencer (Sapulpa, Okla.) tied for 61st at 232 (77-79-76), and Terence Begnel (Tulsa, Okla.) finished tied for 64th at 234 (76-82-76). Garrett Moore (Broken Arrow, Okla.) tied for 71st at 239 (79-77-83).

Up next for the Golden Eagles is the Summit League Championships, April 26-27 in St. George, Utah. ORU is the defending champion.
