Men’s Track and Field Earns All-Academic Team Honor
The University of Oklahoma men’s track and field team was named All-Academic Wednesday by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), having earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team grade point average of 3.00.
Eight Big 12 squads were named to the All-Academic list to lead the nation’s leagues. The Big East and Ivy League followed with seven. The had the fourth most with five.
Wednesday announcement comes less than a week after 15 members of the Oklahoma track and field program, seven men and eight women were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
The list of women’s squads to reach All-Academic status in Division I will be announced on Thursday, August 11.
