Metro Tulsa Soccer Club Is Enrolling
The Metro Tulsa Soccer Club (MTsc), formerly Jenks Soccer Club, has announced a deadline of January 28, 2005, for registering for spring recreational leagues before a wait list applies. MTsc is now accepting registrations for its Recreational, TOPSoccer and Metro-TSC PDP player development programs.
Registration can be done online at www.jenkssoccer.com for the Recreational and TOPSoccer leagues for players ages 5–19. Online registration can also be made for the advanced training available in the MTsc’s Premier Development Program (Metro-TSC PDP) for ages 5–10, administered by a professional soccer staff.
In addition, special needs (mental and physically disabled) players can be registered for TOPSoccer, which offers skills training and games for these special young players.
Those who do not have access to register online can do so at the MTsc office, located at 10715 S. Delaware Street in Tulsa, beginning January 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. January 15 is the last day to register before a late fee applies and Mac’s Soccer Shack will be available for uniform questions and sizing.
MTsc is also the home of the highly-decorated state championship Tulsa Soccer Club. With a record combined recreational and competitive enrollment peaking at over 1,600 during 2004, this rapidly-growing club is offering an ever-expanding menu of programs for soccer enthusiasts throughout the Tulsa metropolitan area.
MTsc held its inaugural tournament kicking of the Metro Tulsa Challenger Series in November and is planning annual events. MTsc held its first-annual Fun Day in May, providing an afternoon of games, music, food and recognition for all its recreational and special needs players.
“What was once a vision is now a reality,” says MTsc President Mark Cardano. “We’ve worked extremely hard over the last 23 months to revamp and refine the Club to offer a wide array of opportunities for players of all levels of play.”
The opportunities for players also include an alliance with Challenger/British Soccer Camps and free clinics for recreational players provided by TSC. In addition to the opportunities for players, MTsc has expanded and enhanced its training programs for coaches and referees.
Complete information about the club’s programs is available at www.jenkssoccer.com (soon to be www.metrotulsasoccer.com), or call 298-0190.
