MLK Oratorical Contest Winner, BerThaddeus Bailey, Presenting Speech to ONEOK Employees
TULSA, Okla. – BerThaddeus Bailey, winner of the Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Contest and sophomore at Central High School, will deliver his rendition of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech to ONEOK company employees Friday, Jan. 15, at 11 a.m. in the ONEOK Plaza Auditorium, 100 W. Fifth Street.
Bailey will receive a $500 cash award from ONEOK. The company has sponsored the Martin Luther King Jr. oratorical competition since 1997. The contest, for high school students in Tulsa and surrounding areas, was held in December. Participants are judged on enunciation, voice quality, delivery, stage presence and memorization.
