Mother Nature cooperated with perfect lighting on a red-carpet runway at the Shops of Seville that ran all the way from the outside patio of the Bistro to the ivory covered tulle tent in front of Donna’s Boutique, which delivered its promise of “more than just fashion.”
Cindy Morrison, 12-year veteran and former anchor at , Channel 8, who has won an Emmy, Peabody Award and Gracie Allen Award for her investigative reporting emceed the event and spoke of her new book “Girlfriends 2.0” which will be published this fall.
Donna J. Brollier, owner of Donna’s Boutique, introduced Cindy. Donna started the trendsetting boutique some eight years ago as a single mom pretty much on a wing and a prayer, which may explain why she supports the prestigious Miss Oklahoma/Miss America Pageant, which recognizes all aspects of a woman’s beauty, offers scholarships, and encourages the “giving back” aspect of participants and winners.
Taylor Treat, Miss Oklahoma 2009, agreed with Ms. Brollier and reached out to the audience to support the Children’s Miracle Network. While all three women graduated from different Oklahoma universities, they all noted they were Kappa Alpha Theta alumnae.
B. jolie provided ribboned gifts for those in attendance. Fabulous door prizes were donated including a soothing massage compliments of b. jolie, a gift certificate from the Bistro, and merchandise certificates from Donna’s and other area merchants.
In addition to the upscale elegance on display at the Joseph Ribkoff Trunk Show, Donna’s also features designer labels including Karen Kane, Alberto Makali, Nic and Zoe, Christopher Blue Jeans, David Kahn Jeans, and Tommy Bahama (yes, they carry the best names in men’s wear as well).
