Nash Named McDonald’s All-American
Oak Brook, Ill. — Oklahoma State signee LeBryan Nash is one of 24 high school seniors listed on the 2011 McDonald’s All-American rosters and will compete for the West Team at the 34th annual McDonald’s All-American High School Basketball Games.
“We are extremely proud of LeBryan and what he’s accomplished,” said head coach Travis Ford. “He’s done a terrific job and is very deserving of this honor. We’re looking forward to having him on campus as a part of our team next season.”
Nash is one of just two players named to the McDonald’s All-American team who have signed with Big 12 schools, joining Texas signee Myck Kabongo from Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nev. Nash is also the fourth Cowboy signee in the last seven seasons to be named a McDonald’s All-American, joining Byron Eaton and Gerald Green, both McDonald’s All-Americans in 2005, and James Anderson, a 2007 McDonald’s All-American.
A Dallas, Texas, native who attends Lincoln High School, Nash recently moved up from 10th to sixth on the ESPNU rankings of the top 150 players in the country. He is now a consensus top-six recruit nationally.
The McDonald’s All-American games will be played at the United Center in Chicago on March 30. The girls’ game will start at 6:30 pm CT (ESPNU) while the boys’ game will tip off at 9 pm CT and be televised on .
