Nedovyesov Named to ITA All-America Team
STILLWATER, Okla. – For the third consecutive year in his prestigious career, Oklahoma State men’s tennis standout Oleksandr Nedovyesov was named to the All-America Team, the announced today.
Nedovyesov, who has received the honor after his sophomore, junior and senior seasons, was also a four-time member of the Big 12 All-Conference Team, the Big 12 Player of the Year in 2008 and 2009, the 2009 National Player of the Year and the 2010 Oklahoma State student-athlete of the year, among other honors.
“He’s the best player who’s ever played in our program,” coach James Wadley said. “This is a well-deserved honor for him and it just shows hard he’s worked for us and what he has meant to tennis over the last four years.”
Nedovyesov wrapped up the 2010 spring season at No. 11 in the final singles rankings while holding a 19-4 singles record, including a pair of wins at the Singles National Championships. He finishes his collegiate career with an impressive 105-23 record in singles competition. returns four starters for the 2010-11 season and resumes competition next fall.
