Nominations for Leadership Jenks XXIV Being Accepted

The Jenks Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the Leadership Jenks Class .

The program, in place since 1986, offers those who live or work in Jenks an opportunity to collaboratively work to better the community. The goals of the program are to challenge and motivate both traditional and non-traditional leaders through information, dialogue and hands-on experience.

“Leadership Jenks is an excellent venue for people to get a grasp on everything going on in Jenks from economic development to housing to infrastructure,” Jenks Chamber President Annette Bowles said. “As a graduate of Leadership Jenks, I can attest to the benefits of Leadership Jenks.”

Bowles said nine sessions will introduce participants to the workings of Jenks city government. Topics include: financing, economic development, neighborhood development, and the future of Jenks.

In order to successfully complete the program, participants must attend seven or more of the nine sessions. Classes meet the second Tuesday of every month, starting in October and ending in May.

There is no charge to the participant.
