Oilers Home At Last
Back to : For the first time since Halloween, the Tulsa Oilers will play a home game at the Center when they face the Allen Americans on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. The Oilers will then host the Missouri Mavericks on Friday at 7:35 p.m., and on Saturday will travel to Missouri. All games can accessed via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com and TV.
Late Drama: The Oilers split two dramatic games last week to cap a four game road trip. The Oilers defeated the Colorado Eagles 4-3 in a shootout. It was the Oilers first shootout of the season. The Oilers then lost a tough 5-4 decision at Rapid City, giving up two goals within 55 seconds in the final two and a half minutes.
Crazy Eights: The win at Colorado ended the Oilers eight game winless streak and also snapped an eight game winning streak of Colorado’s.
Power Back: After recently ending a five game drought without a power play goal, the Oilers had great success with the man advantage last weekend. They were 4-for-9 in the two games going 1-for-4 at Colorado and 3-for-5 at Rapid City. The three power play goals against Rapid City is the most in a game for the Oilers this season.
Great Relief: Goaltender Ian Keserich stopped 38 of 39 shots in regulation time then stopped four of five shootout attempts to get the win at Colorado. He came into the game to replace Tyler Sims. Sims and Colorado goaltender Andrew Penner were ejected for a first period fight.
Tickets Here: Season tickets for the 2010-11 season are still available by calling the Oilers office at 918-632- (7825).
