The quartet will perform selections from Dvo?ák, Haydn, Gershwin and, of course, Mozart as well as pieces from famous film scores and a few contemporary surprises. Tickets are on sale now for $20 in advance, $25 day of performance. Complimentary beverages will be provided.

While in Oklahoma, the Amici New York Quartet is also performing at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks and Dwelling Spaces in Tulsa. The quartet will be making a splash at the Oklahoma Aquarium on WEDNESDAY, 22 at 3:00 P.M. The concert will be free to Aquarium guests with paid admission.

Downtown Tulsans can join the quartet for a special lunchtime performance at Dwelling Spaces on THURSDAY, 23 at 12:00 P.M. The performance is free and open to the public. The musicians will be happy to speak with guests and answer questions after their performances.

These renowned musicians are here to perform but are also here to promote the upcoming OK Mozart Festival, set for June 9-15, 2013. The festival is celebrating its 29thyear, and the performers in the Amici New York Quartet have been part of Oklahoma’s premier music festival for decades. Adria Benjamin (viola) has performed in OKM’s resident orchestra in all 28 festivals to date and is joined by Robert Zubrycki (violin), Sebu Sirinian (violin), and Adam Grabois (cello) – all who have 20 or more appearances under their belt.

“It’s so great to play chamber music with these colleagues, especially for our many Bartlesville friends,” said Benjamin, who also serves as Amici New York Orchestra Manager. “We look forward to making new friends and continuing to spread the word about what is presenting this year.”

Doors for this May 23 concert open at 6:30 p.m. and music will begin at 7:00 p.m. The venue is in downtown Bartlesville at 115 E. Frank Phillips Blvd. Visit okmozart.com for more information about this concert and the festival.
