The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame continues to celebrate the rich musical talent of our great state and is proud to welcome Nichols, one of Oklahoma’s finest jazz artists, to their venue. Smooth jazz pioneer Jeff Lorber called Nichols “the awesome new sax player for the millennium.” JazzIz said he is “most likely to spearhead the next generation of great smooth artists” and Smooth Jazz Therapy claimed he is, “in every respect, the real contemporary jazz deal.”
Concertgoers will be treated to a sneak-peek sampling of songs from Nichols’ soon-to-be-released CD, Destinations. This is Nichols’ sixth CD and is produced by Dove Award-winning artist and producer,
Chris Rodriguez. As an added bonus, Starr Fisher, the girl who can belt out the Blues, R&B, Jazz, Soul and Hip Hop, will be performing with Nichols. Fisher, who is from Muskogee, Oklahoma has shared the stage with music greats such as; Count Basie, The O’Jays, Tower of Power, Vince Gil and the late Wayman Tisdale, just to name a few.
