Oklahoma plaintiff awarded $15 million in negligence case


OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma County jury Tuesday ruled in favor of an Oklahoma City woman who brought a negligence claim against Allergan, Inc., for injuries and damages allegedly resulting from Botox injections.

Dr. Sharla Helton, represented by Anton Rupert of Crowe & Dunlevy and Ray Chester of McGinnis, Lochridge & Kilgore, L.L.P., was awarded $15 million in damages. The case was tried in Oklahoma State District Court under Judge Barbara Swinton. Helton was the only plaintiff in the case.
