One Place Development Approved
IMPRESSIVE ADDITION: Proposed One Place Rendering from Miles & Associates.
The Tulsa Development Authority granted approval recently to One Developers to move forward on the proposed $38 million development, One Place. voted to sell the existing parking lot adjacent to the Center to be transformed into downtown’s first mixed-use development. One Place will feature an urban hotel, residential, restaurants, retail, art and green space within the city block.
“This development will contribute to the other revitalization efforts downtown,” says developer Bob Eggleston. “Actually, this is beneficial to the entire metropolitan area.” The development will create jobs, generate city revenue and attract more residents and visitors to the region.
With the Center ranking 12th in the world for ticket sales, One Place will provide visitors an opportunity to shop, dine or relax before and after an event. Plus, the residential component will contribute to the downtown housing demand for young professionals and empty-nesters.
“We applaud the for making the decision to allow us to make this investment into downtown,” expresses architect Rachel Zebrowski. “The mixed-use concept will be a first for downtown and contribute to the Tulsa skyline.” Hank Pellegrini is also a partner in this project.
