ORU Women Picked Atop Summit

After capturing the regular season title last season, Oral Roberts was tabbed as the favorite to win the 2010-11 Summit League Women’s Basketball Championship as selected by the annual preseason poll of league coaches, s and media. The Golden Eagles placed three players on the preseason all-league teams and collected all but four first-place votes.
The Golden Eagles return one of the most prolific sophomores in the country in Kevi Luper. Luper was the first player in league history to win the Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year awards in the same season, along with setting or matching three Summit League records. She was honoroed as an AP Honorable Mention All-American and was named the Preseason Player of the Year this season.
