Osage Agency and Casino Partner to Brighten Holidays for Needy Children


Osage Nation’s office of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families () and Osage Million Dollar Elm casino are partnering to brighten the holidays for less fortunate children in Osage County.

The Adopt-a-Bear holiday project will provide gifts to both Osage and non-Osage children served by . The Adopt-a-Bear project allows casino employees to select a paper teddy bear ornament from a holiday tree. Each ornament represents a child and includes a wish list of gifts for that child.

Employees and non-employees are encouraged to team-up as part of a sponsorship team to provide each child gifts on their wish list. Osage Million Dollar Elm employees will purchase the gifts, wrap them and deliver them to for delivery to the children. Contact Kendra Deaton in human resources for more information at 699-7838.

Osage Nation was the first Tribe in Oklahoma to administer a Tribal Program which services needs of Native American families within the Osage Indian Reservation.
