The Osage Nation Gaming Enterprise Board recognized security and employees for their life-saving response to a guest on New Year’s Eve 2009 at the Tulsa casino.

A woman in the NINE18 Bar lost consciousness and was not breathing when Darrell Sager, a security officer/first responder and Chris Cooper performed on her for 7-10 minutes, said James Redcorn, Osage Million Dollar Elm casino’s director of security.

“From my experience, another minute and she would have gone into cardiac arrest,” Sager said. Ron Mansfield, Tulsa casino shift supervisor, was also honored for his quick response to the situation.

The resuscitated woman was breathing and talking by the time the Tulsa Fire Department arrived to transport her to a local hospital. The incident happened when many guests were at the casino to celebrate the new year.

Osage Million Dollar Elm casino Neil Cornelius introduced the employees to the gaming board at a Jan. 8 meeting at the Osage Million Dollar Elm central services office.
