Walmart’s Rick Webb to Speak at OSU Event

OSU Alumnus Rick Webb

Rick Webb, senior vice president of Global Business Processes at Walmart, will be the first featured speaker at Oklahoma State University’s Tulsa Business Forums.

Webb will present “Leadership in the Next Generation of Global Change” to the Tulsa business community from 12-1:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Webb is responsible for increasing associate, inventory and supply chain productivity worldwide and enhancing Walmart customers’ shopping experience. Webb became a Walmart team member in January 2004 after more than 20 years of consulting in retail industry. He was the senior vice president of Walmart U.S. innovations before working in his current position of Global Business Processes. In 2009 Webb received the Sam M. Walton Entrepreneurial of the Year Award from the Walton family.

An alumnus, Webb holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture and master’s and doctoral degrees in industrial engineering and management.

Each year, the speaker series showcases prominent business professionals, political and world leaders, authors and policymakers to the Tulsa business community. The Tulsa Business Forums is coordinated by the Center for Executive and Professional Development at .

The 2013-2014 Tulsa Business Forums will present financial expert and economist Ben Stein on Feb. 6, 2014, at the Renaissance Hotel. Stein will speak on “America’s Business is Business – The Business of Hope and the Human Spirit.” The 2013-14 series will conclude with Jim Clifton, and chairman of Gallup, Inc., presenting “The Coming Jobs War” at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on April 2, 2014.
