OSU Cross Country Schedule Released
The Oklahoma State cross country program released its 2010 schedule today, with the Cowboys and Cowgirls set to compete in seven events this fall, including two meets at the cross country course in Stillwater.
opens the season with the Tulsa Duels Sept. 4 before hosting the historic Cowboy Jamboree Sept. 25 in Stillwater. The annual meet is the oldest consecutively held cross country meet in the country and features some of the most talented runners in the nation.
After the Jamboree, the teams will split with some athletes traveling to University of Arkansas for the Chile Pepper Festival while others go to Terre Haute, Ind., for the Pre-Nationals meet at Indiana State. Both events are scheduled for Oct. 16.
The cross county program returns home on Oct. 30 to welcome the Big 12 Championships back to Stillwater, the first time since 1997 that Oklahoma State has hosted the event.
The Midwest Regional Championships is the next meet on the schedule, set for Nov. 13 at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.
Oklahoma State then returns to Terre Haute, Ind., where the Cowboys will defend their 2009 national championship at the Cross Country Championships Nov. 22.
