OSU’s Anderson Named Academic All-Big 12
Stillwater, Okla. — James Anderson, a junior on the Oklahoma State men’s basketball team, has been named an Academic All-Big 12 Second Team selection, announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.
The Big 12’s leading scorer, Anderson has maintained a 3.0 grade point average while majoring in education at Oklahoma State. He is one of just three members of the Academic All-Big 12 squads who also ranks among the top-20 scorers in the Big 12 Conference.
This is the second-consecutive year that Anderson has been named to the Academic All-Big 12 team. He was a first-team selection in 2009 as a sophomore. He is just the fifth Cowboy in school history to garner multiple Academic all-conference honors, joining Jason Skaer, a two-time Academic All-Big Eight selection; Fredrik Jonzen, a four-time Academic All-Big 12 selection; Terrence Crawford, a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection; and Stephen Graham, a two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection.
