OSU’s Harrison Receives Honors In 2010
Oklahoma State equestrian rider Samantha Harrison has been named the recipient of several honors for her 2010 performances, including the California Professional Horsemen’s Association Junior Achievement Award, the United States Equestrian Federation Zone 10 Eq. 15-17 Championship and the Pacific Coast Horse Show Association Eq. 15-17 Reserve Championship.
The freshman standout, who will accept the awards Jan. 7-8 in Las Vegas, is already making an impact in her first year as a Cowgirl, compiling a 3-1 record in equitation over fences and earning two-straight s in the final two shows of the fall season.
Harrison, from La Canada, Calif., and the rest of the Cowgirls are back in action Jan. 29, when they host the Kansas State Wildcats at Animal Science Arena in Stillwater.
