OSU Track qualifies 12 athletes for NCAA Regional
Stillwater, Okla.— The Oklahoma State track and field team had 12 athletes qualify to compete in the Outdoor Regional Championships on May 27th in Austin, Texas.
Among the athletes competing will be Mihaela Susa who currently holds the third fastest time in the 1,500 meter run in the . Susa finished sixth in the 1,500 meter run during the Big 12 Championships last week. Clarissa Andrews will be competing in the triple jump in Austin after finishing fifth at the Big 12 Championships with a mark of 12.59 meters.
Felicity Milton and Kendra Woodson will also be competing at the Regional in the 10,000 meter run and the 3,000 meter steeple chase. Milton ran her best time at the event at the Mt. Sac Relays in April with a time of 34:17.72.
On the men’s side, Johnathan Stublaski and Tom Farrell will compete in the 1,500 meter run. Stublaski and Farrell finished first and second respectively during the Big 12 Championship with times of 3:43.31 and 3:44.02.
John Kosgei will compete in the 10,000 meter run after winning the race at the Big 12 Championships with a time of 29:24.21. Kosgei also notched a first place finish in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 14:05.96. Kosgei was named the Big 12 Outstanding Performer of the year for his performance during the season.
