OSU Center for Health Sciences Adds Faculty


Six osteopathic physicians have joined the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine department of family medicine as clinical assistant professors.

Dennis Blankenship, D.O., a 2001 graduate of the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, was chief resident in emergency medicine in 2004-05 at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was named outstanding resident in cardiovascular diseases in 2004. He completed his internship at St. Michael Hospital in Oklahoma and was an OSU adjunct clinical professor at Integris Southwest Medical Center’s emergency medicine program. Dr. Blankenship is board certified in emergency medicine.

Mark Blubaugh, D.O., a 2001 graduate of the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed an emergency medicine residency in 2005 at Southwest Medical Center and an internship in 2002 at St. Michael Hospital in Oklahoma City. He has been an OSU adjunct clinical faculty member in emergency medicine at Integris Southwest Medical Center. Dr. Blubaugh is board certified in emergency medicine.

Jennifer Eischen, D.O., a 2002 graduate of OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed an internship at Saint Anthony Hospital and a residency in the emergency medicine department at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. At OSU, she was on the National Dean’s List and a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Societies.

Michele Fowler, D.O., is a 1999 graduate of OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and was a Morningstar Emergency Physician at the University of Oklahoma Medical/Trauma Center in Oklahoma City. She was a Morningstar Emergency Physician at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City from 2003-2005 and was an associate clinical faculty member. Dr. Fowler was chief resident at Integris Southwest Medical Center in 2002-2003.

Aaron Lane, D.O., is a 2002 graduate of the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an internship at Saint Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, an emergency medicine residency at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City and was an associate clinical faculty member. He was chief emergency medicine resident in 2005-06.

John Stepanek, D.O., is a 2001 graduate of the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and was an emergency medicine resident at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He also was an intern at Saint Michael Hospital in Oklahoma City in 2001-02.
