Owasso Chamber Staff Stays Busy With Openings, Groundbreaking Celebrations
The Owasso business and the service sectors are staying busy as the Owasso Chamber of Commerce held three events over the past several weeks, including two ribbon cuttings and a groundbreaking.

The groundbreaking was held for Chinowth & Cohen’s new building by the Starbucks at 13506 E. 116th St. N. The ribbon cuttings were held for Stride Pediatric Therapy at 7738 N. Owasso Expressway and Sparkle Squad Cleaning Services.
The Owasso Chamber sponsors a variety of special events throughout the year, which nurtures the spirit and pride of its community. Owasso Chamber President Gary Akin is pictured in all three photos.
Akin became the Chamber’s first full-time executive in 1995. He has been active in the Owasso Community for nearly 40 years. In 1997, he was named Executive of the Year by the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives.
Strides Therapy provides outpatient pediatric physical, occupational and speech therapy for children up to 18 years of age in the Owasso and surrounding communities.
The physical therapist/owner of Strides Pediatric Therapy is Wade Kennedy Willis. He and his assistant Jessica Ring opened the facility earlier this year, and held a grand opening ceremony at the end of June.
The new Strides Therapy facility houses 3,000 square feet of space — comprising a large gross motor gym, five private treatment rooms and a separate sensory processing room — to help children with orthopedic and special needs. Call with questions to 918-928-4255.
