Owasso High Graduate Jaylen Lowe Praised by TU Coach Blankenship

EXCELLENT ATHLETE: University of Tulsa Head Coach Bill Blankenship praised Owasso’s Jaylen Lowe on the TU website as possibly the best all-around athlete on the team. Lowe played quarterback at Owasso High School and led his team to the school’s first district title since 1986 as a senior. He guided Owasso High School to the Class 6A state semifinals and was selected to the East all-state team. Lowe was an honorable mention all-state selection by The Oklahoman. He completed 139-of-230 passes for 2,332 yards and 28 TDs, while rushing for 563 yards and 14 touchdowns his senior season. He was named to the Tulsa World all-state first team as a punter and earned the Tulsa’s World’s all-metro team as a quarterback his senior campaign. He averaged 39.8 yards on 27 punts as a senior. His high school coach was Bill Patterson.
