The 2020 Greater Tulsa Parade of Homes, held in July, highlighted Owasso’s Stone Canyon development, which is located near the Patriot Golf Club with an official address of 7500 N. 177th E. Ave. Additional developments heighted were Vale at Redbud near Catoosa and Estates at the River in Bixby.
The breakthrough Stone Canyon concept, years in development, establishes an eco-friendly “green” luxury community that entices families by encouraging healthy living, according to Stone Canyon developers. It blends the beauty of the great outdoors with the finest homes, shopping, dining, golf, education and amenities. Of the community’s 3,000 acres of Oklahoma landscape, 650 will remain left open for common-use areas – not surprising, since the site is carved out the historic Oxley Ranch, a nature preserve.
During the Parade of Homes, over 100 new homes ranging in price from $150,000 to more than $1 million were open daily. The annual event was presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa and sponsored by Samsung & Pella of Oklahoma.
More than 50 local building companies participated in the event, which gave buyers a large showcase of new homes and building trends. Buyers explored floor plans to view the latest innovations in everything from technology to energy efficiency and home decorating ideas. In addition, all featured builders were members of the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa, meaning they are experienced, insured, ethical professionals.
Before the event, Cahn Wiggs, local builder and chairman of the 2020 Greater Tulsa Parade of Homes, said, “The 2020 Parade of Homes featured some of best builders in the state. Among the most exciting events of this year’s Parade were the Twilight Tours, featuring four outstanding neighborhoods. The parade is the only event that allows shoppers to explore and visualize all of the options in new home construction and speak directly with Tulsa’s best builders. Builder representatives are on hand to answer questions at each entered home during event hours, providing a great way to find the builder, neighborhood and home that best suits an individual’s lifestyle.” During the event, attendees enjoyed extended weekday hours at the three of the featured subdivisions with special activities such as giveaways, food and more.
