Oxygen Media Are Searching The Nation For Talented Performers To Compete For A New Role On Season 3 Of Glee
Oxygen Media and The Casting Duo, in association with Robert Ulrich, the Casting Director of Glee, announce the search for a new face to join the cast of the biggest new hit show on television. They are currently seeking performers 18+ (who can convincingly portray the role of a teenager) with strong vocal, acting, and dancing abilities to compete in a reality show for a multiple episode guest-starring role in Season 3 of Glee.
The Glee Project (working title) will premiere on Oxygen in June 2011.
Anybody and everybody now has a chance to be on a show about talented underdogs. No matter who you are — a Broadway talent or a struggling singing waiter with a dream in the Midwest — you now have an opportunity to make that dream come true by coming to an open call and showing us what you can do.
Musical theater experience is a plus, but not required. If chosen to participate, professionals will train you, so raw talent is welcome. If you have the performing fundamentals and a big personality, we want to meet you!
Casting is currently underway and open calls will be held in Chicago on Saturday December 18th and Sunday December 19th 2010 and Dallas on Saturday January 8th and Sunday, January 9th 2011.
If you think you have what it takes to join the cast of Glee, go to www.gleecasting.com for more information and to pre-register for the casting call you plan to attend.
You must be legally eligible to work in the United States. You must be available to the production in or about January through April 2011 and be willing to travel to various locations as part of production.
The team will also be reaching out to professional performers through official industry channels in order to ensure everyone is included in this opportunity.
All of the 34,000 applications already made through the earlier Myspace Glee auditions have now been processed and the shortlisted applicants will be contacted by xxx date. Applicants who are not shortlisted may still choose to attend an open call if they feel they’ll do better in a live audition. Please go to www.gleecasting.com for more information.
