While many acclaimed dance companies start their season with traditional classic ballets, Tulsa Ballet launches their season with a triple bill program totally dedicated to innovation through the creation of new works. Next season this program will celebrate the artistry, sensitivity and accomplishments of women choreographers. The performances will take place in Tulsa Ballet’s own intimate Studio K Theater and will feature three world premiere works from some of the most world-renowned dance makers.
When I worked at the Tulsa and March rolled around, I was keenly aware of the competition for audiences during that timeframe. I learned not to underestimate the pull of March Madness, St. Patrick’s Day and spring break.

February looks to be a busy month at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, with Beethoven, puppets and even a trip to Oz filling the bill, all part of its 40th Anniversary Celebration.
George Kaiser Family Foundation’s national artist fellowship program – the Tulsa Artist Fellowship () – is now accepting applications from local and national visual artists and writers for its third class, to begin Jan. 8, 2018. will award up to 30 fellowships totaling more than $1 million in stipends, free housing and free workspace.
