Madonna House Fashion Show

The 17th annual Madonna House Mother/Child Tea, Fashion Show and Silent Auction is scheduled for Sat. Feb. 10 at Southern Hills Country Club.

The 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. event benefits Madonna House, which provides a safe environment for pregnant women and women with newborn babies. Madonna House is an agency of Catholic Charities.

Philbrook Glows During Festival of Trees

Philbrook Museum of Art’s 2006 Festival of Trees celebrated the Oklahoma Centennial starting Nov. 19 with major additions and changes for this holiday season. Decorated trees surrounded the rotunda with a spectacular old-fashioned ornament tree in the center. Artistic creations by 200 artists were exhibited throughout the museum and outside in the holiday-lit gardens. Gingerbread houses by area school children surrounded the upper mezzanine.

VCI Entertainment Awards Tulsan’s Short Film

The film is only 13 minutes long, but it has made a winner out of Tommy Wallace.

Wallace, who is beginning his own public relations and advertising firm under the name of Wallace Productions, heard last year that VCI Entertainment of Tulsa was hosting a short film competition for Oklahoma film makers. The idea was that the films had to be less than 30 minutes in length and could be no cruder than a PG-13 type film.
