SAC Basketball Tournament Pairings Released
The Sooner Athletic Conference released its game times and pairings for the conference basketball tournament Sunday afternoon. The Rogers State women will get a rematch with Oklahoma Christian in the 10:45 a.m. game Thursday. enters as the No. 5 seed and OC as the No. 4. The Hillcat men are seeded sixth and will face No. 3 Oklahoma City in the final game of the evening Thursday, scheduled for a 9:45 p.m. tip-off. All tournament games will be played at the Sawyer Center on the campus of Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla. Only the top eight teams in the 12-team league qualified for the tournament. First round games will be played Thursday followed by the semi-finals on Friday and championship games Saturday. The winner of the Tournament will receive an automatic berth to the National Tournament. If the regular season champion also claims the conference tournament championship, the tournament runner-up will earn the automatic bid. Both the Oklahoma Baptist men’s and women’s teams enter as the top seed in the tournament.
