Average retail gasoline prices in Tulsa have fallen 2.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.49/g yesterday. This compares with the national average that has fallen 0.8 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.77/g, according to gasoline price website TulsaGasPrices.com.
Tulsa Individuals are Joining Together in a Campaign to Bring Sustainability to a Cambodian Orphanage
Over the next two weeks individuals in Tulsa and across the country are joining together for one cause: to bring sustainability to a Cambodian orphanage. The 120 Campaign, a campaign created by local non-profit Go International, is giving the community the ability to be a part of creating change in the world.

Catoosa’s Market on the River
Catoosa’s first farmers’ market is scheduled to open on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Rogers Point Park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market, named Catoosa’s Market on the River, will be the first farmers’ market for the Catoosa area and the only one run by teenage volunteers.
Annual Water Quality Report Arriving in June Utility Bills
Tulsa’s annual water quality report, which covers results from tests done in 2010, is being mailed to about 150,000 customers inside their June utility bills. People who do not receive utility bills may request copies of the report by calling the Mayor’s Action Center at 596-2100.

River Spirit Casino will begin accepting donated items for the victims of the tornado in Joplin, MO on Sunday, May 22. The items may be dropped off at either of our Players Club areas, located inside the Casino.
Goodwill, Gap Work Together
Gap and Goodwill Industries have announced a partnership encouraging consumers to clean out their closets for a cause. From May 19-29, Gap stores will accept clothing donations in support of the Donate Movement, an effort powered by Goodwill to educate the public on the positive impacts donations can have on both people and the planet.
Drilling to Begin on Brady Geothermal Field
The next construction project in an estimated $110.5 million investment in the Brady Arts and Greenwood Districts will proceed with drilling of wells for the geothermal field at The Park on Brady at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 26. The rig will drill 120, 500-foot wells for a geothermal field that will provide heat to the Tulsa Paper Company building and the Visual Arts Center. George Kaiser Family Foundation and related organizations are investing an estimated $53.1 million, with an estimated $57.4 million coming from other various projects.
