The Tulsa Boat, Sport and Travel Show will return to Expo Square Jan. 28- Feb. 3 in the QuikTrip Center.

Drillers’ Cole, Neely To Return; Schedule Set

Every Saturday in February will see a TU home game: SMU (Feb. 2), Southern Miss (Feb. 9), UTEP (Feb. 16) and Presbyterian (Feb. 23). Rice will be in Tulsa Wed., Feb. 20, and the home season will conclude on Saturdays in March with Marshall (March 1) and UCF (March 8).

Basketball Legend Marques Haynes Honored by Langston

The Sand Springs native has received his due. On Dec. 8, Langston University honored the legendary Marques Haynes by dedicating its basketball court as the Marques Haynes Court. The court is in the C.F. Gayles Field House, which is fitting. Gayles was his basketball coach from 1942-l946 while Haynes was earning his degree from Langston.

Mayor’s Cup

Oral Roberts’ men’s basketball team celebrates their win over the University of Tulsa in the Mayor’s Cup game. ORU defeated their crosstown rival 84-70. This was the fourth win in five years for ORU. Since the first time the two teams met in 1974, TU has managed to win 28 of the 42 games played, giving them the edge over ORU.
