Michalec Gains Strength, Benefits from Veteran ORU Trainer Glenn Smith, EOOC
Mickey Michalec was ready to play basketball at Oral Roberts University when he transferred to the school from Texas Tech after the 2002–2003 season. Michalec (pronounced Ma-hay-lek) had knee surgery in September of 2003, and with the help of his trainer, Glenn Smith, and the physician team at the Eastern Oklahoma Orthopedic Center, Michalec has completely recovered to become an impressive rebounder and overall presence with his 6 feet 11 inch height and 255-pound body.
Bulgarian Skating Champ Teaching at Tulsa Ice Arena
Tulsa-area skaters are fortunate to have the teaching and directing services of Boyko Alexiev, the six-time figure skating champion of Bulgaria. Alexiev was a participant in the Olympic Games of 1988 and a winner in several international competitions. He has been working as the skating director at the Tulsa Ice Arena since 1998.

The Metro Tulsa Soccer Club (MTsc), formerly Jenks Soccer Club, has announced a deadline of January 28, 2005, for registering for spring recreational leagues before a wait list applies.
