Tulsa Flight Night: Sept. 18
NORDAM, a global aerospace industry leader, and the Siegfried family will host the inaugural Tulsa Flight Night on Sept. 18 to benefit (Science Technology Engineering Math) education programming. The gala will be held at Jones Airport and include aerial displays, entertainment and a live auction. A bonus feature will be quadcopter demonstrations provided by Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa.
TCC Nate Waters Physical Therapy Clinic Opens
Tulsa Community College celebrated the completion of its new Nate Waters Physical Therapy Clinic at TCC’s Metro Campus with a dedication ceremony in July. The facility provides clinical learning opportunities for students and is expected to begin seeing patients this August.

TU’s Collins College of Business announces School of Energy Economics, Policy and Commerce
The University of Tulsa’s Collins College of Business is creating a School of Energy Economics, Policy and Commerce in response to growth in TU’s energy business degree programs and an increased need for trained energy professionals who can meet today’s business challenges. The school will begin operations July 1, 2014, under the leadership of Professor Tim Coburn.

Area Manufacturing Students Receive Scholarships
On May 30, the Tulsa Area Manufacturers Association handed out 12 scholarships to individuals who are pursuing an education in the manufacturing industry. The association awarded $9,000 to students and $3,000 to Tulsa Tech Center Education Foundation.
OSU-CHS Peds Club Honored, Online Program Ranked
The Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences’ Peds Club was recently honored for efforts to promote children’s health and community service by the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians. The chapter was named the Student Club of the Year at the organization’s spring conference in Kansas City.
TTCU Gives Donation
HELPING EDUCATION: On June 12, officials with The Credit Union presented a total of $9,650 in donations to nine Tulsa Public Schools principals at Wilson Teaching and Learning Academy. The donation was the culmination of the credit union’s recent “50/50” program.
