Signature Symphony Presents Meet the Maestros
Imagination, inspiration and enthusiasm are on display as the finalists for the Signature Symphony at Tulsa Community College artistic director and conductor take the baton during the 2014–2015 season. Andrés Franco, Michael Rossi and Timothy Verville will showcase the creative talent they can bring to the professional orchestra as well as how they shape the sound by conducting one performance for the Pops series and one performance for the Williams Classics series during the season.

Tulsa Ballet Welcomes Local Children to Audition for The Nutcracker
On September 13, 2014, Tulsa Ballet welcomes local children, ages 6-14, to audition for Marcello Angelini’s The Nutcracker. Interested young dance students may audition for roles such as baby clowns, party children, mice, soldiers, tumblers and Marie. The Nutcracker provides aspiring young dancers the opportunity to perform with the professional artists of Tulsa Ballet. Auditions will take place from 1:30p.m.-6:00p.m. at the Tulsa Ballet headquarters located at 1212 E. 45th Place S., Tulsa, OK 74105 (45th and Peoria). PAC Theaters Ready for Epic Entertainment
The Tulsa Performing Arts Center resumes a frenetic pace this month but not before a recap of one of the most satisfying theatre experiences I’ve had in all my years at the . I was among the more than 7,000 people who attended Theatre Tulsa’s “Les Misérables” in August. Its director and choreographer, Sara Phoenix, and musical director Jeremy Stevens put some awesome talent onto the 420-seat Williams Theatre stage. The entire look, feel and sound of the production was spot on. Impressive. And not just impressive “for community theater.” It was flat-out amazingly good.
Sand Dazzle Comes to B.A. Aug. 30
On Aug. 30, Broken Arrow residents of all ages are invited to participate in Sand Dazzle, an end-of-summer event hosted by the Broken Arrow Recreation and Parks Department. The free sand sculpture event will take place at Nienhuis Park, 3201 N. 9th St., 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Tulsa Ballet II Presents ‘On Your Radar’
On Friday, September 5th at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 7th at 3:00 p.m Tulsa Ballet will break new grounds with the opening performance of the first subscription series of Tulsa Ballet II, Tulsa Ballet’s pre-professional ensemble. The opening program of TBII’s first season, On Your Radar, will be composed of three pieces: Napoli Divertissements, In Formation and Fourth Wall.
Tulsa Ballet’s Marcello Angelini Enters 20th Year
Marcello Angelini joined Tulsa Ballet as artistic director in 1995. His wife, Daniela, also teaches at Tulsa Ballet. They met at 17 years old in Florence, Italy, where they were both dancers.
Laserfest Weekend Comes to TASM
Tulsa Air and Space Museum & Planetarium is hosting their first ever Laser Fest, a series of shows in the Museum’s Planetarium that utilize a state-of-the-art laser projection system to produce bright, brilliant colored graphic images, choreographed to music. The shows will run for only one weekend, August 14-17, and include a variety of music genres that attract all ages.

Tulsa Flight Night: Sept. 18
NORDAM, a global aerospace industry leader, and the Siegfried family will host the inaugural Tulsa Flight Night on Sept. 18 to benefit (Science Technology Engineering Math) education programming. The gala will be held at Jones Airport and include aerial displays, entertainment and a live auction. A bonus feature will be quadcopter demonstrations provided by Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma and the University of Tulsa.
