Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma to fund the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program which provides shelf stable food items each week to children at risk of hunger on the weekends and during school holidays. Emergency Infant Services to provide formula and baby food for families who are dramatically impacted by the precipitous rise in food prices and ensure the nutritional needs of their very young children are met.
Camp Fire To Host Incredible Kid’s Day
Let kids know how special they are by joining Camp Fire USA Green Country Council in celebrating Absolutely Incredible Kid Day 2009 on Thursday, March 19. Adults are encouraged to write notes of love and support to the children in their lives, and spend the day participating in child-centered activities.
T-Town Trolley Connects Osage Casino to Downtown
A partnership with the T-Town Trolley and the closest gaming attraction to downtown has been forged.
The T-Town Trolley now operates on the hour to and from Osage Million Dollar Elm casino as free transportation is now available Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. to and from Osage Million Dollar Elm casino, the Brady district and Downtown Tulsa. The T-Town Trolley will be running from 6 p.m. to midnight after all major BOK Center shows.

Chefs for the Cure
Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) served up a delicious way to fight breast cancer and celebrate special women, all while benefiting Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at the fourth annual Chefs for the Cure, a “taste-of” style event on Sept. 13 at CTCA, which featured an array of gourmet cuisine from some of Tulsa’s finest chefs.

Mayfest Offers Private Label Wine in 2008
When most Tulsans think of Mayfest, wine usually isn’t one of the first things that comes to mind. This year’s Mayfest staff is trying to change that with the help of Oklahoma’s Cabin Creek Vineyard and Winery. Tulsa International Mayfest announced there will be a limited number of private label Mayfest wines available at the 2008 festival. The wines are supplied by Cabin Creek Vineyard and Winery and feature the artwork of the 2008 Mayfest poster as the label.

Chef Christopher Reid shared some amazing dishes with Tulsans April 5 at the Dresser Mansion. Chef Reid is part of “Chefs on the Run” which provides individuals with catering needs for weddings and special events.
