Dillon International Holds Lunar New Year Event
Dillon International will ring in the Year of the Horse at its 19th-annual Lunar New Year benefit dinner.
This year’s celebration of the popular Asian holiday, to be held on Feb. 8 from 6–9 p.m. at Tulsa’s Hyatt Regency Downtown, 100 E. 2nd St., will honor company founders Deniese and Jerry Dillon, whose vision has led to more than 6,000 children joining adoptive families throughout the United States.

Stu McDaniel, middle, of GuRuStu, an award-winning creative advertising agency, held an open house during the holiday season at the agency’s new location at 628 E. Third St. in Tulsa. Enjoying the tour and festivities are Tulsa County Commissioners Ron Peters and Karen Keith.

The Wayne Bradshaw family of Tulsa welcomed Samantha Isler home during the holidays. From left, at a Rotary Club of Tulsa luncheon, are Wayne Bradshaw, daughter Tina Miller, Isler and Linda Bradshaw. Isler is an actress on the sitcom Sean Saves the World and the granddaughter of Wayne and Linda.
MLK PARADE:
Ebony Clark, winner of the 2013 National American Miss Oklahoma Jr. Pre-Teen Pageant, takes part in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade on Jan. 20 in downtown Tulsa. Ten-year-old Clark was awarded $1,000, trips to Hollywood and to Disneyland, and a one-year modeling contract. The program is based on inner beauty, poise and presentation. Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, upholding a good attitude, and achieving personal goals.
Crystal Bridges Announces Warhol Acquisitions
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, located in Bentonville, Ark., announces a series of new acquisitions of works by artist Andy Warhol that includes two gifts and a recent purchase. The works are exhibited, together with works already in the Crystal Bridges collection, in the museum’s Twentieth-Century Art Gallery.
BOK Center Finishes Year As 13th Ranked Venue in U.S.
The -managed Center finished 2013 ranked 13th in the United States and 34th in the world in Pollstar Magazine’s 2013 Year End Top 200 Arena Venues based on ticket sales. During this period, the Center reported ticket sales of 426,536 tickets sold.

Arvest Winterfest Celebrates Another Successful Season
Arvest Winterfest celebrated its sixth anniversary by welcoming nearly 140,000 guests to downtown Tulsa over the course of 38 days this past December into January. This -produced event featured outdoor ice skating, horse and carriage rides, live entertainment, a climate-controlled warming tent and holiday concessions. Winterfest favorites including the awe-inspiring fireworks display, Oklahoma’s largest Christmas tree and a day of free skating also returned this year.
