Route 66 Marathon Draws Thousands

HAPPY TRAILS: Newspapers Art Director Bryan Cantrell sets off at the starting line of the 2012 Williams Route 66 Marathon. Roughly 20,000 runners participated in the seventh-annual race Nov. 17-18, which included a fun run, 5K, marathon relay, half marathon and full marathon. Cantrell was one of 1,897 who completed the 26.2 mile marathon, which was won by South Dakota resident Curtis Huffman, with a time of 2:39:24.

Tulsa 66ers Get New NBA-Style Floor

The Tulsa 66ers have a new floor, but it’s not just any kind of floor.

The new -style floor was designed by Connor Sports Flooring, which has created floors for multiple teams, including the Oklahoma City Thunder, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat.
The floor was first revealed during a commemorative ceremony on Oct. 4.
