Joining this prestigious group in the future could be two young athletes who are true “up and comers” in the world of track and field.

Booker and Inez Walker, parents of injured Tulane football player Devon Walker have issued the following statement about Walker’s progress, “We are pleased to have completed the transfer of Devon to a comprehensive in-patient rehabilitation center to continue his recovery. OSU-Texas Kickoff Set

The Oklahoma State Cowboys will welcome the Texas Longhorns back to Stillwater on Sept. 29 under the lights at Boone Pickens Stadium.

The Big 12 Conference has announced that the Texas- game is set for a 6:50 p.m. kickoff on the Broadcast Channel (Channel 25 in Oklahoma City and Channel 23 in Tulsa). It will be the first game for the Longhorns in Boone Pickens Stadium since 2009 after the Cowboys picked up wins in Austin in 2010 and 2011.

Tulowitzki and Giambi Play Roles in Tulsa Comeback, A Big 6-run Inning Gives Drillers 7-3 Win in Regular Season, Home Finale

Major leaguers Troy Tulowitzki and Jason Giambi concluded their four-day, injury rehabilitation assignments with the Tulsa Drillers Monday night, and both must have left ONEOK Field feeling good about their chances to soon return to the Colorado Rockies lineup. Tulowitzki and Giambi each collected two hits and helped the Drillers to a 7-3 comeback win over Northwest Arkansas. The victory came in Tulsa’s final home game of the 2012 regular season and completed a three-game sweep of the Naturals.

Only ten teams will compete for the Central Hockey League championship during the 2012-13 season. Playoff champion Fort Wayne, along with Evansville, have moved to the East Coast League. Dayton, Loredo and Rio Grande Valley folded. New to the league are the Denver Cutthroats and St. Charles (Mo.) Chill. St. Charles will begin play in 2013-14.
