Disney On Ice Presents Rockin’ Ever After
Get ready to rock out with some of the most magical idols of all in Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After, an all-new live production coming to Tulsa. A cast of world-class skaters brings favorite moments from Disney•Pixar’s BRAVE, Tangled, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast to life in a musical showcase that features the hottest tunes and talent from across the kingdom. Produced by Feld Entertainment, Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After is performing at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds, Expo Square Pavilion, Sept. 26 – 29.
Blue Dome Welcomes Comedy Theatre
Jason Watts and Nicole Vance believe the timing and the location are just right to bring a local comedy theatre to downtown Tulsa.
The Comedy Parlor will be located in the Blue Dome District at 328 East 1st Place in a space well-situated for foot traffic: between El Guapo and S&J Oyster, down the street from McNellie’s, around the corner from The Max and Joe Momma’s—you get the picture.
Tulsa Ballet II to Perform Solo Show Sept. 6 and 8
Tulsa Ballet II will perform “On Your Radar”, a mixed repertory program, September 6 and 8, 2013. The performance includes Ma Cong’s “Match Point”, Aurora’s Wedding Suite from “The Sleeping Beauty”, and the world-premiere piece “Vivir al Dia”, created especially for the ensemble by up-and-coming New York choreographer, Natrea Blake. Performances will take place at the Tulsa Ballet Studio K theater. A milestone in the group’s development, Artistic Director Marcello Angelini proudly kicks off the 2013-2014 season with “On Your Radar” in celebration of this brand new offering from Tulsa Ballet and first solo billing from the professional training ensemble.
David Olney and Sergio Webb to Perform in Tulsa
Nashville based musician David Olney will perform at the Woody Guthrie Center, 102 E. Brady, Tulsa OK on Wed. Aug. 7 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Capacity is limited.
Tulsan’s Life Goes Full Circle with Billie Letts
On Sept. 28, 2008, the late Dennis Letts, the Oklahoma actor, was honored by the Circle Cinema by having his name added to the “Walk of Fame” in front of the theater. It was a very beautiful occasion, with old friends showing up to remember Dennis and sharing memories with each other and with his widow, Billie Letts, and their sons.

Grammy Winner Joins Tulsa Sax Player to Perform at Infuzion July 5
Two-time Grammy award winner Bill Champlin, formerly from the band Chicago, will be teaming up with Tulsa saxophone player extraordinaire Grady Nichols for their first-ever public performance together. The two will be performing in south Tulsa at the new Infuzion Ultra Lounge and Bistro, located at 101st and Mingo, on Friday, July 5 for two shows – the first at 6 p.m. and the second at 9 p.m.
Thomas Moran Featured at Gilcrease Museum
A suite of 15 chromolithographs of watercolors by Thomas Moran that comprises Yellowstone and the West: The Chromolithographs of Thomas Moran, is being featured at Gilcrease Museum through Sept. 8. The exhibit began June 8. Published by the Boston lithographic firm, L. Prang & Co., in 1876 as the portfolio, The Yellowstone National Park, and the Mountain Regions of Portions of Idaho, Nevada, Colorado and Utah, the chromolithographs were part of the first color publication about the West.
