Jenks Eager to Bring Arts, Activities to Town
Pans are in the works to create an arts district in Jenks.

Tulsa’s OnePlace Tower Tops Out
Space for new and established businesses, retail shops and parking are coming together downtown.
OnePlace Tower began construction in the summer of 2011. The $40 million, 521,696-square-foot facility will house six and a half levels of parking, one level of retail and eleven stories of office space. National energy company, Cimarex, is the first confirmed tenant of the tower and will use the space as its new Tulsa headquarters.

The leadership team of Tulsa’s Young Professionals has officially announced their leadership’s endorsement of Vision2. The Vision2 initiative gives the citizens of Tulsa County the opportunity to continue investing in the region by extending the current Vision 2025 initiative to retain and create jobs, improve communities and ensure a stronger future for the Tulsa region.
Now’s the Time to Move Greater Tulsa Forward
Tulsa County voters will decide on Nov. 6 if Vision2 will be the transformative piece we need to move Tulsa forward. We’ve already seen the success of Vision 2025, in projects like the Center, Tulsa Convention Center, and multiple housing and neighborhood projects. Vision2 is simply a continuation of the great progress we have already made with the passage of Vision 2025 with two ballot proposals.

Commissioner Perry Comments On His Vision2 Vote
As a Tulsa County Commissioner, I thought long and hard before voting to put Vision2 on the Nov. 6 ballot. I would not have done so if I didn’t honestly believe that it had great potential to save thousands of jobs and attract additional jobs. The annual payroll at the airport industrial complex is $755 million ($585 American Airlines (AA) and $170 Spirit AeroSystems and IC Bus). No company would be “bailed out” and no cash would be given to American Airlines or any of the other tenants at the airport industrial complex if Vision2 passes.

Your typical interpretation of a local Chamber of Commerce mission most likely revolves around economic development, small business and networking. While these are very important programs for the Tulsa Metro Chamber, our programs expand into a number of other civic enhancement initiatives. For instance, the education and workforce division includes Partners In Education and Oklahoma Scholars, which focus on Tulsa’s youth and offer them the tools necessary to enhance their skill sets and build better futures. Also, Tulsa’s Young Professionals, the nation’s largest and fastest-growing group for young professionals, which consists of ten work crews dedicated to various aspects of the Tulsa region, ranging from urban development to arts initiatives.

Tulsa County Clerk Recount Set for Sept. 6
A recount of the ballots cast in the August 28, 2012 Republican primary election for the office of County Clerk will be held on September 6, 2012. The recount will be conducted by the Tulsa County Election Board and take place in Courtroom No. 408 in the Tulsa County Courthouse.
