There are some really cool changes taking place on the Tulsa scene in the arts and entertainment community. Let’s begin with the new jazz club, The Primo Room in Ciao Restaurant at 33rd and Peoria. The host and hostess for this wonderful new addition to Tulsa is the vivacious Kathleen Kennedy, along with her husband, the very cool James Andrews, owners of the legendary Italian restaurant Ciao in Brookside.

<i>Talons Appreciate Being Honored by TU</i>
This is one of the most interesting college football seasons ever with all the upsets and top teams losing. Our Tulsa Talons are proud to have won the Indoor Arena af2 National Championship, and we appreciate being honored by the University of Tulsa during the halftime of their game with UAB on Sept. 29. We had a great time at the game, and we are having fun watching the great offense the Hurricane is producing behind quarterback Paul Smith, the offensive coaching of Gus Malzahn, and the head coaching of Todd Graham.
<i>Jazz Depot is the Place to be for the Fall Season</i>
Many of you know the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame has moved to its new home in downtown Tulsa. We’ve been here since the first of July 2007 and the “Joint is Jumpin.” The move to the Jazz Depot, as we refer to it, all began as a dream. That dream is now a reality and we thank the citizens of Tulsa County for making it possible by voting for this Vision 2025 project.
<i>Talons Bring in Football Season with Championship</i>
Football is king in Oklahoma. The Tulsa Talons are proud to add to the state’s great tradition with the 2007 ArenaCup championship. The Talons won 73-66 over the tough Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers in the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, La. August 25. It is the second ArenaCup championship in Talons history.
<i>Went Hubbard Honored; Talons Thank the Fans</i>
It was my honor to be present at Drillers Stadium on August 3 for the induction of Tulsa Drillers owner Went Hubbard and pitcher Kenny Rogers into the Drillers/Crown Bristow Wall of Fame during pre-game ceremonies. The special ceremonies preceded the Drillers game with Springfield.
Warren Family Embodies The Spirit of Tulsa
In the 1950s, William Kelly Warren, Sr. spent $8 million to build a hospital on a hill in sparsely populated south Tulsa overlooking a growing city he had helped build. It was to be a “nice- sized, acute care hospital” according to his son, William Kelly Warren, Jr. But in typical fashion to everything the Warren family touched over the years, Saint Francis Hospital continued to grow into one of the largest medical complexes in the country. Not surprisingly for a Tulsa family who started with a $300 cornerstone and turned it into the multi-million dollar Warren Petroleum Corp.

Patriotic Tribute Inspiring; Talons Roll
We had a great time at the “4th on the 3rd??? patriotic concert presented at the VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education at Tulsa Community College July 3. Primeaux was fortunate to partner with Signature Symphony at to show our patriotism during this 4th of July free concert and musical tribute to our military men and women.
Jones Family Published the Tulsa Tribune

<i>Tulsa Sports Commission Working to Land Major Events</i>
Construction on the new Bank of Oklahoma Center is well underway, and when it is completed, Tulsa will have a major arena that will be among the finest in the nation.
The BOK Center will hold over 18,000 people, and the Tulsa Sports Commission is focused on bringing nationally significant events to the facility.
Mamma Mia! Tulsa Talons are on the Rise!
There’s lots of action going on around the region, and we are excited to be bringing some of it your way!
We are proud to sponsor the Broadway musical Mamma Mia!, which opens at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center May 8 and will run through May 13 with eight performances. Larry Payton of Celebrity Attractions continues to bring major performances to Tulsa, and we appreciate him for what he does for our region.
Mamma Mia! moves quickly with an interesting story and great Abba songs, including “Dancing Queen,? “The Winner Takes it All,? “Money, Money, Money??? and “Take a Chance on Me.???

The Tulsa Talons will open the season at home Saturday, March 31 against the Everett Hawks, and we are excited to get the season underway with former Union High and University of Tulsa quarterback Josh Blankenship leading the team.
