Feilmeier Becomes Principal of Bishop Kelley
Curt Feilmeier, Bishop Kelley High School’s new principal, has been busy at work since he and his wife arrived in Tulsa from Omaha, Neb. two months ago. Despite the move they quickly felt at home. Feilmeier says, “Tulsa is not entirely a new place for us because Tulsa and Omaha are similar in regard to size, recreational activities, the arts and athletics. There are also strong Catholic communities in both cities.”

Tulsa Tech Students Construct Memorial Wall

This year marks the tenth anniversary of this terrible assault on our country and Americans are remembering when our great nation came to a stop on that morning in September.
Students Create Memorial
Students attending Cascia Hall in Tulsa have been creating a memorial for those who lost their lives Sept. 11 for a couple of years. Having become a tradition, the community has shared the news and this year brought many visitors to the school to view the creation.

NSU Launches College for Adults in B.A.
Northeastern State University will open a new college this fall semester created specifically for non-traditional students who want to complete a college degree or advance in their careers. Housed on the Broken Arrow campus, the new College of Extended Learning empowers students to successfully fit schoolwork into schedules that are often full of other priorities.
“As a public university, Northeastern State University has an obligation to provide as much access as possible to everyone in our region, regardless of their circumstances,” says Dr. Martin Tadlock, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at . “The College of Extended Learning is designed to provide that access through quality courses and degree completion programs created to meet the needs of working adults in the Tulsa region.”
Insightful John Marshall Leads Holland Hall
Lifelong educator John D. Marshall has been busy at work for weeks as Holland Hall’s recently-appointed Head of School in preparation for the first semester.
Marshall, his wife Rebecca, a neuropsychologist, and their children Luke, Kate and Will, are thrilled to be part of both the Tulsa and Holland Hall community. Marshall says, “We’re very happy to be in Tulsa. It’s a wonderful city, and it’s great for kids.”
Industry Training for Greener Alternatives Offered
Tulsa Tech and the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance recently partnered with the Crane Carrier Corporation to provide customized industry training to address the technology and concepts associated with compressed natural gas (). This training provides the opportunity for technicians to work with this alternative fuel and receive their state certification.
