Sooner Women Best in Nation in Academics
The University of Oklahoma women’s track and field team was honored as the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association’s (USTFCCCA) Outdoor Scholar Team of the Year the organization announced Thursday. The award comes after the Sooners finished fourth at the 2011 Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships and compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.03.
OSU Announces Fan Contest For New Tailgate Area
The Oklahoma State Athletic Department is seeking input from its fans on the naming of a new tailgate area north of Boone Pickens Stadium.
As part of the future Athletic Village site, this spacious green area features plenty of grass space as well as prominent shade trees for fans to enjoy during pregame festivities. The tailgate site is located just north of the Cowgirl Softball Stadium off McElroy Road, between Bellis and West Street (see map).
