Patriot Cup to Feature Big PGA & Champion’s Names
Young guns like Rickie Fowler and Gary Woodland will be joined by golfing legends such as Tom Lehman, Corey Pavin and Craig Stadler at the 2nd annual Patriot Cup benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation to be held on May 29-30 at The Patriot Golf Club in Owasso. The Tour players, as well as celebrities, will be playing on Monday beginning at 9 a.m.
TU Honors 2010-2011 Successes
The University of Tulsa recognized its athletic teams and student-athletes at the school’s 16th Annual Golden ‘Cane Awards Dinner.
The top awards include: Ultimate Team, Wilson Holloway Ultimate Service Award, Outstanding Team Community Service Award, Dan Bitson Courage Award and Warren Garrison Academic Excellence Awards.
NSU Tabs Duckworth
Northeastern State University has named Tony Duckworth as its director of athletics. Duckworth, who will begin his duties on June 13, will be formally introduced at a press conference May 31, 2011, in the Webb Center Tower at 1 p.m.

Four OSU Athletes Advance at Big 12 Track and Field Championships
Four members of the Oklahoma State track and field program advanced through Saturday’s preliminary heats of the Big 12 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, including Natalja Piliusina in the women’s 800 meters and Tom Farrell, Raul Botezan and Johnathan Stublaski in the men’s 1,500 meters.
Big Inning Dooms Cowboys
Baylor used a seven-run sixth inning to knock off 19th-ranked Oklahoma State, 8-1, Saturday night at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
With the loss, the Cowboys fell to 33-17 overall and 13-9 in Big 12 Conference play, while BU is now 25-23 and 10-13 in the league.

Cowgirl Softball Selected to NCAA Tournament
Oklahoma State’s 20th-ranked softball team will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., to compete in the regional round of the Tournament, it was announced this evening. The Cowgirls will play No. 19 Georgia Tech in the first round of the regional tournament on Friday. A time has yet to be determined.
