Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame Inducts Eight
The Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame inducted eight outstanding individuals who have made lasting contribution to our nation’s culture.
Glee Emmy Nominee Kristin Chenoweth; the late Jesse Ed Davis who played with Leon Russell, Jackson Browne, George Harrison and John Lennon; the late jazz musician Wayman Tisdale; entertainment writer Gene Triplett; the late composer, lyricist and performer Ralph Blane; multiple Grammy nominee Cheevers Toppah; Nokie Edwards and the late Bob Bogel of The Ventures were inducted during ceremonies on Nov. 10.
Scrooge Takes the Stage at South Tulsa Baptist Church Christmas Dinner Theater
For the twentieth year, South Tulsa Baptist Church, 10310 South Sheridan Road, will mark the holiday season with its annual dinner theater. This year’s anniversary production of The Gospel According to Scrooge was also presented the first and tenth year of the Christmas Dinner Theater.
Christkindlmarkt Celebrates
Christkindlmarkt will again be presented by the German American Society of Tulsa on Dec. 2, 3 and 4 of 2011.
The Center at 15th and Terrace Dr. will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland which includes a great selection of Christmas tree ornaments, nutcrackers, smokers and gift items imported from Germany.

Tulsa Promenade Mall held its Annual Magical Night of Giving on Sunday, Nov. 13. Magical Night of Giving is a unique, one-night event scheduled to kick off the holiday season and help non-profit organizations raise money.
IHLOFF FUNDRAISER:
The Ihloff Creative Team Fall Collection: Wild at Art benefited the Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa, the Tulsa area’s largest provider of arts education resources. This annual high energy, high fashion hair show displays the talent and innovation of the Ihloff Creative Team on models in a runway setting.
Tulsa Press Club Holds First Draft

Entertainment in Tulsa Engages Audiences
Last summer I wrote a Show Buzz column about how tame Broadway can be in Tulsa. The focus of that discussion centered on The Book of Mormon, and how we probably won’t have that in Tulsa anytime soon due to its content. Recently, as I sat in a full theater watching Celebrity Attractions’ presentation of the musical Memphis, I felt deeply appreciative of the entertainment we are lucky to see in Tulsa. Memphis was a standout.

Expansion of The Music Store is Complete
As of Nov. 4, 2011, The Music Store, . has completed its expansion, making it a 12,000 sq. ft. retail establishment. This expansion doubled the store’s original size opening the floor tremendously thus providing a better shopping experience for its customers and a better work environment for its employees.
