Oklahoma State’s Kevin Tway was named the Big 12 Golfer of the Month for April it was announced today by the league office.

The honor adds to an already impressive list of accolades this week for Tway, who was named a first-team All-Big 12 pick on Tuesday and a finalist for the Ben Hogan Award earlier today.

Cowgirl Golf Set For Regional Play

Oklahoma State’s women’s golf team will resume play this week when it travels to Notre Dame, Indiana for the Central Regional. The 54-hole event will consist of 18 holes each day beginning with Thursday’s first round and concluding on Saturday. The 16th-seeded Cowgirls will be paired with No. 17 seed North Texas and 18th-seeded Wisconsin during the first round. The trio will begin on the No. 10 tee at 12:30 p.m. () at the par-72, 6,208-yard layout. The top eight teams and two individuals not on those qualifying teams will advance to the Championship, which will be held in Bryan, Texas at Traditions Golf Club from May 18-21. Jacob Pearce of Jenks High School is the Student Athlete of the Month.

Pearce has a 3.5 and is the team captain of the Jenks Varsity Swim Team. As the team captain, he leads his peers as a motivator in and out of the pool. He helped organize a canned food drive and a Red Cross blood drive.
