Hasay, Theisen Named National Athletes of the Year
Jordan Hasay and Brianne Theisen have been named women’s national athletes of the year by the The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) after leading Oregon to the 2011 Indoor national title. It is the first time a Duck has captured either women’s award.

Kansas forward Marcus Morris has been chosen as one of 20 men’s college basketball players to appear on the final ballot for the John R. Wooden Award.
Kansas’ Marcus Morris Named USBWA All-American
Kansas junior forward Marcus Morris was named to the 2010-11 U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-America Second Team on Monday.
Each of the first-team selections is among the Oscar Robertson Trophy finalists. The USBWA’s National Player of the Year Award will be announced Monday, March 28 and presented on Friday, April 1 at the 2011 USBWA College Basketball Awards Breakfast at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
Big 12 Honors Marlowe
For the second-straight week, an Oklahoma State player was named the Big 12 Conference Newcomer of the Week as Chris Marlowe garnered the honor for games played March 7-13, it was announced today by the league office. Marlowe shared this week’s award with Texas freshman third baseman Eric Weiss.
