Find out as the Tulsa Historical Society presents “Becoming Tulsa: Cultivating City Life from a Cattle Town, 1878-1900.” The exhibit includes hundreds of photographs, many rarely seen, and artifacts of the first Tulsans working and enjoying life in what was then a cow town.

Roy Clark Inspires
Roy Clark was named the Oklahoma Music Ambassador for Children by the Oklahoma House of Representatives April 12.
His career spans from the days of co-hosting the popular television variety show Hee Haw to his performances as a country musician. He recently filmed a public service announcement with students from Roy Clark Elementary School at the soon to be opened Spring Loaded Brewery and former power plant in Sand Springs. The rustic building provided a unique backdrop for filming.
Music Hall Honors Kings of Leon
The Kings of Leon were presented with the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame’s 2011 Rising Star Award prior to their April 8 concert at the Center in Tulsa.
King of the Zoo Turns Two
Zuber, one of the first lion cubs born at the Tulsa Zoo in 16 years turned two years old recently. He was given a large popsicle to enjoy. Zuber, along with brother Thabo, were born to father Kofi and mother Shatari in March of 2009.

Wildlife Meet and Greet Held
Recently, two wildlife rescue entities teamed up to create a new show that will be airing soon on Animal Planet. Ned Bruha of The Skunk Whisperer will bring laughs and hope to audiences throughout the nation while saving wildlife from residential areas. Titled, The Skunk Whisperer, Wild Heart Ranch will also be featured in the show. The ranch takes in abandoned or injured wildlife and then releases them back into the wild.

OK Mozart Launches Season
