(TULSA) – During ‘Strike Out Hunger’ at Drillers Stadium, a fundraising event for the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, Cherokee Casino presented a check for $20,000 as part of the casino’s ‘Anything Can Happen’ promotion. The surprise donation was given during the Drillers’ latest homestand.

Tulsa Increases Mowing and Graffiti Removal Funds

At the mayor’s request, additional funding is being transferred to bolster right-of-way mowing and citywide graffiti removal.

The Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy (), the board which oversees the city’s refuse-collection and disposal services, has approved transferring surplus funds to add seven additional mowing cycles on public rights-of-way and to bring back a second graffiti removal crew that was eliminated several years ago because of tightening budgets.
