With Christmas Day fast approaching, 160 children in Bixby got a big dose of the Christmas spirit last Saturday, receiving brand new bicycles at the first annual Bicycle Blessings for Bixby event.
Catholic Charities’ Services Continue on New Campus
Catholic Charities recently celebrated the opening of our newly constructed campus located at 2450 North Harvard at the Southwest corner of Apache and North Harvard with dedication events. Former Tulsan Father Mueggenborg Serves in Rome
Former Tulsa resident Monsignor Daniel Mueggenborg is currently serving his fourth year of a six-year appointment to the Vatican in Rome, Italy. Mueggenborg, originally from the Okarche-Kingfisher area, attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1984. Following graduation he joined the Diocese of Tulsa as a seminarian and studied at St. Meinrad Seminary for one year before being assigned to the North American College in Rome.

Upper Room Ministry Consigns for the Needy

The Upper Room Ministry at Grace Lutheran Church located at Fifth Place and Lewis Avenue in Tulsa, has been providing much-needed help to the local community as well as outside the Tulsa area for 10 years. According to board member Rosita Martin, “In 1999, a small group of women here at the church and I decided to get together and organize a year-round rummage sale. We collected all sorts of items, clothes, shoes, dishes, toys, books and more and opened up a shop on the second floor of our church building.”

Roger and Carla Clark had hoped to begin a family when they were married 28 years ago. After three miscarriages, doctors informed Carla that she would not be able to have children. With this heartbreaking news, Carla and Roger continued to have a strong faith in God and remained optimistic that they would one day reach their dream.
